Amelia's Blessing Day

This is Amelia's first white dress! We had the opportunity to bless Amelia on the 6th. It was a beautiful and special day. We were so grateful for the chance to share this special day with so many friends and family. Luckily there was no hurricane to force an evacuation like the weekend Madelyn was blessed. Amelia was a champ during the whole meeting. She slept the entire time! I was sure she would be up there "exercising her lungs" but she never made a peep.
Not until picture time that is. We did manage to get a few good shots of the family. Maddie was way more interested in her sister being okay than looking at the camera.

Steve and I were so very grateful to our family that was able to come and share this special day with us. (We missed you Jared family, Melanie family and Angela!) I must admit this is an incredibly great picture of all of us considering the number of kiddos we had to have hold still at once.
And then of course there is the traditional Mineer "funny face" picture. I tried to explain that we just don't do silly in my family, but I guess this picture proves me wrong.

Goofy Golf!

The Mineer clan came into town this month and everyone went GOOFY GOLFIN'!!!
This was Maddie's very first time playing putt-putt and she had a blast. Of course, she chose the pink ball.
Daddy tried to help Maddie...But being the independent girl that she is Maddie insisted on doing it herself!!

She is so focused... GRAMPA!!! Don't hit my ball!
I hit it in faster than Grandpa!

My Very Own Swings!!

After many weeks of patiently waiting; it is finally finished. Maddie has her very own swing set! Steve labored diligently through the sweltering heat last Thursday and, with only one minor accident (sorry, Papi), managed to construct a pretty sturdy set for our sweet girl to play on. And boy does she like to swing! Maddie thinks having swings in her own backyard is the coolest. No matter the weather or the time of day (or night) she loves to swing. Maddie can't quite pump on her own however, so she is always trying to recruit a someone to give her a little push.
Dad is her favorite of course because he pushes the highest and does the best underdogs, but Maddie is more than willing to let anyone play. Between my family and Steve's she had a plethora of people to choose from this past weekend. One thing is clear:
This is the face of a very, very happy girl!
